What happens when I receive a different quantity on a stock transfer than what was initially ordered?

Question

What happens when the received quantity of a product on the stock transfer differs from the original ordered quantity?

Setup

  • Vend for Mac or PC
  • Vend on iPad

Answer

The quantity ordered will be removed from the source outlet as the transfer is sent.

If the quantity received is less than the quantity ordered, only the received quantity will be added to the receiving outlet. The difference will be added back to the source outlet.

If the quantity received is greater than the quantity ordered, the received quantity will be added to the receiving outlet. The difference will be removed from the source outlet.
