Objective
How do I know if my terminal is ready to be paired with Vend?
Every terminal has its own nuances but fall in similar patterns based on device manufacturer. We'll take a look at some manufacturers such as Ingenico, Dejavoo, & Pax devices.
Setup
- Ingenico (Desk/Move 5000, iCT250/200, iSC250, iPP320, iSMP4, etc...)
- Dejavoo (Z series)
- Pax (S300, D210, etc...)
Ingenico
- Need to have Semi-Integrated enabled, Communications Type set (Ethernet/Wifi), and Receipt Options set according to payment partner
- Home screen says 'Welcome/Bonjour'
- Internet is usually indicated by a symbol seen on the home screen
Dejavoo
- Minimal modifications on terminal, should be plug in and play
- Internet connection can be confirmed once Home screen says 'POS Online'
- If the Home screen says 'POS Offline', please double check the terminal's connectivity to the internet network. If the Home screen states a message other than POS Online/Office, please get in touch with Vend Support
Pax
- Minimal modifications on terminal, should be plug in and play
- Internet connection can be confirmed once Home screen says 'POS Online'
