How to fix a broken Instagram feed in Vend Ecommerce using the Fleur theme

Objective

Sometimes the Instagram feed can error and stop feeding images to your Home Page. This is most commonly caused by an expired access token. Generate and use a new token to fix. 

Setup

  • Vend for Mac or PC
  • Vend Ecommerce
  • Fleur theme by Hello Digital

Steps

First, generate a new Hello Digital theme supporter API key

  1. Visit https://vend.mydigital.nz/
  2. Click the Vend logo
  3. If asked, log in with your Vend username and password
  4. Click on Allow access
  5. You will then be provided with an API key in bold text, copy this key

Next, paste the API key into your Fleur theme settings

  1. Click Vend Ecommerce
  2. Click Design
  3. Click Themes then Fleur
  4. Click General
  5. Scroll down and paste your API key into the Hello Digital Theme Supporter API key field
  6. Click Save

Lastly, add your Instagram account to your website using the theme Supporter

  1. Visit https://vend.mydigital.nz/
  2. Click on the Instagram tab at the top
  3. Click on the Instagram logo
  4. If asked, log in with your Instagram username and password

Additional Information

You may also need to make sure that your Instagram feed is still enabled in your Kokoa theme homepage settings.
