Can a sale containing a Gift Card purchase be returned/refunded?

No, Gift Cards are a non-refundable product in Retail POS.
To refund a Gift Card under special circumstances and in accordance with your stores refund policy, you will need to navigate to the Sales History (Sell-> Sales History), locate the sale, and then void the sale. You can then manually refund the payment via your payment terminal or in cash.
If the original sale also contained products other than the gift card purchase, you will need to recreate the sale (without the gift card) in order to correct sales reporting and inventory.
