Why doesn't my QuickBooks register closure invoice match my register closure in Retail POS (X-Series)?

Setup

  • Retail POS for Mac or PC
  • QuickBooks Online integration

Answer

Layby sales

  • Layby sales do not sync to QuickBooks Online. These payments will appear in your Retail POS register closure, but not in the corresponding QuickBooks Online invoice. 

Counted amount discrepancies

  • Retail POS will send the counted totals to QuickBooks Online. If your counted totals are less than your expected, you will see this difference.
