Why have all of my variants been deleted after adding one variant?


After adding one variant to a product, all of the previous variants have been deleted.

This occurs when a new variant is added incorrectly. Instead of adding a new value (Green, Blue, Big, Small) an attribute (Color, Size) has been edited. Because all of the previous variants used that attribute, deleting it causes all of the previous variants to be removed.


If you have backed up your products recently via a product export, importing the rows of the CSV pertaining to that product should resolve the issue.
