Can I scan a barcode on the Sell Screen to add products into Retail POS (X-Series)?

Question

Is it possible to scan a barcode that has not yet been created as a product in Retail POS on the sell screen and then add the product to Retail POS?

Setup

  •  Retail POS on iPad
  •  Retail POS for Mac or PC 

Answer

No, products cannot be added via the Sell Screen. Products can only be created in Retail POS through the Add Product page, or by importing a product CSV.
