Objective
Charge a variable fee to a customer by making a non-inventory tracked 'fee product' and adding it to a sale.
Setup
- Retail POS for Mac or PC
Steps
- Navigate to Catalog -> Products
- Click Add Products
- Click Enter product name
- Type in the name of the fee you want to charge
- Click Track Inventory for this product
- Leave the retail price blank, we will change this later from the sell screen
- Click Save
- Click Sell
- Click Start typing or scanning
- Type in the name of the fee
- Select the fee from the list
- Click on the price of the fee on the right-hand side of the screen
- Type in the amount you want to charge for the fee
- Click Pay
- Select the desired payment type
- If the customer is paying by cash, select the quick cash payment
- Click Done
- The customer has now been charged a fixed fee
