How to troubleshoot the Square payment integration

Update the Retail POS App

Update the Square App

  1. In the App store, search for the Square app
  2. Tap Update to update the app

Set a location for your Square integration

  1. Tap to open the Retail POS side menu
  2. Tap Dashboard
  3. Tap Setup
  4. Tap Payment types
  5. Tap Square
  6. Enter your Square log in if you are prompted to
  7. Ensure a location is set for each register 
  8. Tap Save  

Authenticate your Square account

  1. On your iPad's browser app, log onto where 'store' is your Retail POS store name
  2. Follow the login steps to complete the authentication
