BigCommerce sale import fails when a variant product in an order that does not contain a SKU

When importing a sale including a variant product, an error occurs when the variant associated with a line item does not exist in Vend. The result, the sale import fails.

  • This could be caused by a product that has an incomplete set of variants in BigCommerce i.e variant SKU is not generated for every option value of variant options.
    • For example, if there are 0 variants in BigCommerce, the product is imported as a basic product while if there are some variants in BigCommerce, only those variants are imported successfully.
