How to troubleshoot the Vend iPad app

Objective

Resolve glitches and issues within the Vend iPad app.  

Setup

  • Vend on iPad 

Steps

1. Update the Vend app

  1. In the app store, search for the Vend app
  2. If the Vend app says Update, tap this to update your app

2. Update your iOS Version

  1. On your iPad's home screen, tap Settings
  2. Tap General
  3. Tap Software Update 
  4. If there is an update available, tap Download and install 

3. Clear the iPad Cache

  1. On your iPad's home screen, tap Settings
  2. Tap Safari
  3. Tap Clear History and Website Data 

4. Delete and Reinstall the Vend app

Please note that deleting and reinstalling the Vend app should be used as a LAST RESORT. You must follow the troubleshooting steps above prior to deleting and reinstalling.

  1. Tap and hold the Vend app
  2. Tap the 'x' that will appear on the corner of the app
  3. In the app store, search for the Vend app
  4. Tap to download the app

Additional Information

  • Deleting and reinstalling the Vend app will disconnect Vend from any hardware/payment processors you are using. 
  • Before deleting the app, make sure you have an Apple ID so you will be able to download the app again
