Objective
Resolve glitches and issues within the Retail POS (X-Series) iPad app.
Setup
- Retail POS on iPad
Steps
1. Update the Retail POS app
- In the app store, search for the Lightspeed Retail POS (X) app
- If the Retail POS app says Update, tap this to update your app
2. Update your iOS Version
- On your iPad's home screen, tap Settings
- Tap General
- Tap Software update
- If there is an update available, tap Download and install
3. Clear the iPad Cache
- On your iPad's home screen, tap Settings
- Tap Safari
- Tap Clear history and website data
4. Delete and reinstall the Retail POS (X-Series) app
Important
Please note that deleting and reinstalling the Retail POS app should be used as a last resort. You must follow the troubleshooting steps above prior to deleting and reinstalling.
- Tap and hold the Retail POS app
- Tap the 'x' that will appear on the corner of the app
- In the app store, search for the Retail POS app
- Tap to download the app
Additional information
- Deleting and reinstalling the Retail POS app will disconnect Retail POS from any hardware/payment processors you are using.
- Before deleting the app, make sure you have an Apple ID so you will be able to download the app again
