How to troubleshoot the Star TSP 100 (143) USB for PC

Setup

  • Star TSP 100 (143) USB receipt printer

Steps

Check the USB connection

  1. Make sure the USB cable for your printer is connected securely to your computer
  2. Disconnect the USB cable and plug it into another USB port on your computer 
  3. Restart your printer and computer

Print a Test Page 

  1. Go to your computer's Start menu
  2. Click Settings or My Computer
  3. Click Devices and Printers
  4. Double click your printer
  5. Click Print a test page 
  6. If the test page fails to print, the issue may be with your printer itself. In this case, you will have to reach out to Star Micronics directly for further support
  7. Alternatively, you can reach out to Vend Support for further assistance

Remove Duplicate Printers

  1. Go to your computer's Start menu
  2. Click Settings or My Computer
  3. Click Devices and Printers
  4. If you see more than one copy of your printer, click the duplicate
  5. Click Remove Device

Reinstall Drivers
