Why did receiving a Stock Order not update a Product's inventory level?


Why did my received Stock Order not update the inventory and generate a stock movement in the Inventory Movements View?

Usually, when this happens it's because at the time of receiving the Stock Order the Product in question did not have inventory tracking enabled:


Such Products can be added to a Stock Order but receiving them will ignore the inventory update. 

Additional Information

To check if a product had inventory tracking enabled at the time the order was placed go the Inventory Movements View and see if an "Order Placed" movement was logged when the Stock Order was created. 

Enabling the 'Track Inventory for this product' feature will not update the inventory retroactively.
