How to troubleshoot "No Host Connection" error message on Star TSP printer

Latest update: - Shane Connaughton

 Setup

  • Vend for Mac or PC
  • Vend on iPad
  • Star TSP ethernet printer

Steps

  1. Check the ethernet cable is still connected to the printer and to the network port
  2. Try a different ethernet cable
  3. Plug ethernet cable into a different network port or directly into the router

Additional Information

If ethernet ports are active and there is still no connection, Contact Star Micronics here who will diagnose the problem further.

If printer stays connected for a period of time and then prints the "No Host Connection" error, there may be an issue on the internal network that is causing the printer to drop off the network. Contact your local IT personnel or your Internet Service Provider, depending on your network setup.
