Why do I have duplicate customers in Vend?

There are three reasons why you may have duplicate customers in Vend. 

1. Shopify 

If your Vend store is integrated with Shopify, your customers will enter their information when they make a purchase on your Shopify site. If they already exist as a customer in your Vend store but enter a different email address or different spelling of their name, this will create a duplicate customer.

2. CSV Customer Edits

If you are editing existing customers in your Vend store using a CSV and the customer code column is deleted, this will create duplicate customers. 

3. Adding Customers to the Sell Screen

If a customer already exists in your Vend store and comes in to make a purchase, a user might not be able to search for them and could create a new profile for them.
