Why are there two payments applied to my sale and how do I fix it?

Sometimes you may accidentally apply a payment to a sale twice or in some cases an integration may duplicate the payment you've already applied. This will leave you with two payments on a closed sale, with a negative balance remaining due to the double payment:


To resolve this you'll need to void the sale and re-create the transaction from the sell screen.
