Configure a Star TSP100 or TSP143 printer to open the cash drawer (Windows & Mac)

Latest update: - Team Vend

Star TSP100 or TSP143 series printers are reliable thermal printers and can be configured to 'open' the cash drawer on whenever a receipt (or indeed any document) is printed to them.

There are a couple of driver versions for the TSP100 series, depending on the model (FurturePRNT, ECO etc) and operating system. This article explains how to configure both models to fire the cash draw whenever a receipt is printed.

NB: these basic steps for configuring printer preferences may also work for other printer models, such as Epson & Bixolon, though the option names may vary slightly.

-> Right click and select 'Properties'

-> Select the tab 'Device settings'

-> Ensure the following settings:

Please select if you would like the cash draw to open before or after printing
